Description
The Create Story Contributor Email feature in Contesimal helps users quickly draft professional outreach emails to invite potential contributors to share stories on a podcast or content series. This tool is part of the Prepare to Create workflow, which supports content creators—especially podcast producers, marketers, and writers—by providing structured templates and AI-powered assistance.
This feature contributes to Contesimal’s broader mission of helping users organize, contextualize, and monetize their content by:
Streamlining contributor onboarding
Saving time on drafting outreach messages
Ensuring consistent messaging aligned with show themes and goals
Leveraging AI to create relevant, story-driven content
Step-by-Step: How to Use This Feature
Step 1: Start a Session
From the left sidebar, click “Complete Task Session” or start a New Session.
Once the session opens, select “Complete Task” when asked about your main goal.
Step 2: Choose Your Task Objective
Next, select “Prepare to Create” from the list of task types.
This is where you can find tools to help you prep before creating content.
Step 3: Select the Task
From the options that appear under Prepare to Create, click on:
“Create Story Contributor Email”
This opens up a task window tailored to drafting contributor outreach emails.
Step 4: Review or Generate Email
The system will display an email draft titled “Full Stack Leader Story Contributor Introductory Outreach”.
The email includes dynamic placeholders like
[Contributor's Name]
and[Your Name]
.Example topics and guest mentions (e.g., Todd Hoffman, Valentine Watts) provide credibility and relevance to the potential contributor.
Step 5: Use and Refine the Output
Below the email, you will find options to:
“Good Answer” – Accept the email as-is
“Say More” – Expand the content if you want more detail
“Adjust This Question” – Revise the original prompt to steer the AI differently
You can also Snip the message (✂️ Scissors icon) to save it as a reusable snippet.
This allows for future use across other sessions or lists.
Step 6: Finalize
Copy and paste the email into your outreach platform or use it to inspire your own message.
Optionally, save it to your session’s List Item using the document icon in the side panel to keep everything organized.
Troubleshooting & Support Tips
Issue | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Placeholder text not replaced (e.g., [Contributor's Name]) | The AI-generated draft uses generic placeholders | Manually replace with the actual name or personalize using your CRM tool |
Email too general or too specific | Initial task input was too vague or too narrow | Click “Adjust This Question” and refine your prompt with more detail about your contributor or show |
Didn’t save the email output | Forgot to snip or list the message | Use the ✂️ Snip icon or document icon next to the message to save it for future sessions |
Can’t find this feature again | Navigation can be unclear | Navigate to: Complete Task Session > Prepare to Create > Create Story Contributor Email |
Too much jargon or length | AI-generated content can be dense | Click “Say More” or manually edit the output to match your tone and brand voice |
