The Create a List feature in Contesimal helps users collect and organize relevant content into a structured list. This functionality allows users to search for content, filter results, and save selected items into a list for future reference. It plays a crucial role in Contesimal’s mission to help users organize, contextualize, and monetize their content efficiently.
With this feature, users can:
Collect articles, snippets, and search results into a single, categorized list.
Add notations to saved list items for context.
Manage lists directly from the sidebar panel.
Steps to Use the Create a List Feature
1. Select the Goal of Your Session
At the start of a session, users will see an option to define their main goal.
Click Create a List to begin gathering content into a single, structured collection.
2. Explore Your Content Library
Contesimal provides two ways to explore your content:
Search: Enter keywords to find specific content within your library.
Browse: Filter your content by predefined categories.
Click Search to enter keywords and refine your results.
3. Perform a Keyword Search
Enter keywords related to your topic (e.g., “Leadership”) in the search bar.
Click Generate Result to retrieve relevant content.
The results display snippets from articles, podcasts, and other media that match your search.
4. Save Relevant Items to Your List
Next to each search result, you’ll see an Add (+) button.
Click + to add a specific snippet to your list.
To save multiple results at once:
Check the box next to multiple snippets.
Click Add all selected at the bottom of the results.
5. Create a New List
If no list exists yet, click Create New List from the right-hand LISTS panel.
A pop-up will appear:
Enter a List Name (e.g., “Leadership List”).
Optionally, add a description for context.
Click Create List to finalize.
6. Assign Items to a List
When adding an item, select the list where you want to save it.
Optionally, add a notation to provide context (e.g., “This media has great leadership content.”).
Click Save to confirm.
7. Manage Your List
The LISTS panel on the right displays your saved lists.
Click a list to view its contents.
Use the pencil (edit) icon to rename the list or update its description.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |

No search results found | The entered keyword may not exist in the content library. | Try refining your search with different keywords. Check spelling and use broader terms. |
Cannot create a list | A list name is required. | Ensure you enter a name before clicking Create List. |
