Description
The Snippets feature in Contesimal allows users to capture and manage key pieces of content from their sessions, documents, or AI-generated outputs. This functionality supports Contesimal’s broader mission of helping users organize, contextualize, and monetize their content by:
Saving valuable insights from podcasts, messages, AI responses, and more.
Enabling deeper organization through session linking, list grouping, and custom notations.
Making saved content searchable and exportable for reuse in articles, workflows, or business assets.
How to Use Snippets – Step-by-Step Guide
A. Accessing Snippets
Navigate to the top navigation bar and click Collections.
From the dropdown menu, choose:
Snippets to view all individual snippets.
Lists to access grouped collections.
Notations to manage user-added notes or comments.
B. Viewing and Managing Snippets
On the All Snippets page, you’ll see a table that includes:
Snippet title (often a session name or topic).
The associated session (e.g., “April 2025”).
Date the snippet was added.
Icons for viewing notations, deleting the snippet, or viewing the count of comments.
Click on a snippet to open its detail view.
You’ll see the full text of the snippet and the option to go back to the session source.
Any existing notations will be visible below the snippet.
You can add additional notations for personal insights or collaboration.
C. Creating a Snippet
While reviewing a session, AI result, or text, hover over or select the desired content.
Click the snippet option to save it.
The snippet will be auto-tagged with the date and session context.
It will be saved in the general Snippets area until further action is taken.
D. Saving Snippets to Lists
When reviewing AI results or snippets from content:
Select the "Save Snippet to List" action.
Assign the snippet to an existing list or create a new one (e.g., “Leadership Quotes”).
Lists help you organize content thematically for future reference.
E. Accessing Lists and Session Context
Navigate to Snippets > Lists to see your categorized snippet collections.
Each list displays who created it and how many items are inside.
Useful for building content for reports, newsletters, or summaries.
Use the "Go to session source" button from any snippet to return to the original content session where the snippet was created.
Troubleshooting and Common Issues
Issue | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Snippet is missing from expected list | Snippet was saved but not assigned to a list | Open the Snippet and manually assign it to a list under the Lists tab. |
Deleted snippet still visible | Browser cache may not be updated | Refresh the browser or clear cache. Check if the item was truly deleted. |
"Go to session source" doesn’t work | Original session link is broken or expired | Contact support or check if the session still exists in the Sessions tab. |
Notations not appearing or saving | Delay in network or UI sync | Ensure you click "Send" after typing the notation. Refresh and try again if it doesn't appear. |
Snippet search not yielding results | Search is based on snippet content, not just titles | Use keywords from within the snippet text or check filters (like session date). |
