Description

The Chat Feature in a Contesimal Session serves as the central conversational interface where users can engage with AI to explore, query, and manage content from their document library. It integrates AI-powered tools (questioning, searching, exploring) to simplify content organization, contextual analysis, and actionable insights — perfectly aligned with Contesimal’s mission to organize, contextualize, and monetize content.

By engaging through the chat interface, users can:

• Ask context-aware questions

• Search keywords

• Explore and curate content

• Generate lists and summaries

• Complete content-driven tasks

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Starting a Session

• Navigate to the Sessions tab on the left sidebar.

• Click on an existing session (e.g., March 2025 Session) or start a New Session.

• Select your main goal: Create a List, Get an Answer, or Complete Task.

2. Engage with the Chat Interface

• Use the chat input at the bottom right to begin interacting.

• You can type a freeform question or command such as:

  • "Find leadership quotes from my content library"

  • "Summarize this episode’s key themes"

3. Using the Toolbar Above the Input Box

You’ll see three main options:

• Ask Question (default tab): Chat directly with the AI about your content.

• Search: Enter keywords (comma-separated) to search across your library.

  • Example: Leadership, Diversity

• Explore: Opens options for structured navigation:

  • Create A List

  • Browse Themes

  • Browse Topics

  • Complete Task

4. View and Interact with Results

• When results are returned (see Screenshot 5), they include:

  • Snippets from your content

  • Episode titles, speaker names, and highlights

  • Highlighted keywords in context

• Use the icons next to each result:

  • ➕ = Add to list

  • ? = Save as a snippet (List Item)

  • ✂️ = Snip the quote

  • ? = Add Notation

  • ? = Result pulled from the internet (if applicable)

  • ? = Binoculars for search results

5. Session Navigation

• Use the left sidebar to switch between sessions.

• Use the right sidebar ("Notations" area) to view:

  • Any summaries

  • Annotations you or AI have made

Troubleshooting & Tips

Problem: “I’m not getting relevant results.”

Solution:

• Try rephrasing your search query to be more specific.

• Use Search with multiple keywords separated by commas.

• Verify your document library is properly ingested into Contesimal.

Problem: “I don’t understand the icons.”

Solution: Use this quick reference:

Problem: “The chat input options disappeared.”

Solution:

• Click on the Ask Question, Search, or Explore tab above the input bar to bring back the full toolbar.

• Ensure you're still in an active session.

Problem: “I want to revisit content from a previous session.”

Solution:

• Use the left sidebar to select past sessions (e.g., “Session Two”).

• Use the “View All” button to browse sessions if you don’t see the one you’re looking for.
